TCU map Remapping your gearbox can be done on its own, but is usually carried out in conjunction with an engine remap to further improve the performance & overall driving experience. As the standard gearbox map is often the limiting factor in the performance of many vehicles, especially when the engine is remapped, tuning & recalibration of your gearbox with a remap is sometimes required to remove torque limits in the gearbox TCU, allowing you to take advantage of the additional torque produced by your remapped engine.
