Timing
belt replacement can be a bit of a minefield especially with garages
cutting corners to reduce costs
In the last year we have seen more
and more cars with poor running and poor idle due to incorrect cam
timing plus noisy idlers that haven't been replaced etc when the
customer has had a cheap cam belt change
These have mostly been V6
engine cars GTAs etc in the end it costs more to have it done twice .

Please note many 16v Twin
Spark & JTS Engines suffer from a loud rattling at idle caused by
a worn inlet cam variator unit. Replacing this at the same time as
the cambelt can be done at no extra labour cost.
